Diabetes Support Group - Sheboygan

Prevea Endocrinology would like to introduce a new monthly support group that focuses on dealing with diabetes. The group will be open to anyone in the Sheboygan community with diabetes and members of this confidential group will determine goals and guidelines. The purpose of the group will be to:

Enlighten each other on treatments and practices
Provide resources and education with guest speakers
Offer support and an open forum to discuss stressors
Suggest successful tactics that may help others

Diabetes is a disease that affects many areas of a person's daily life and group support can bring ideas to improve management, or provide an outlet for frustrations. Meeting with other patients who share similar experiences can be helpful for coping with this chronic disease.

Join us for the first meeting in the Christopher Room at St. Nicholas Hospital, 3100 Superior Ave., on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Pre-registration is not necessary.
