UnitedHealthcare and Prevea Health 
Sign New Long-Term Agreement

GREEN BAY, Wis. (Nov. 05, 2007) – UnitedHealthcare and Prevea Health, along with St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center, announced they have signed a comprehensive multi-year agreement. 

 

The new agreement expands UnitedHealthcare's network of physicians and hospitals in the Green Bay market adding more than 200 new providers and two new hospitals to UnitedHealthcare's extensive network of 12,000 physicians and 112 hospitals throughout Wisconsin. The new agreement, effective Jan. 1, 2008, covers all members enrolled in any of UnitedHealthcare's commercial, Medicare or Medicaid benefit plans.

 

"The signing of this new agreement between UnitedHealthcare and Prevea Health, St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center clearly demonstrates our continuing commitment to providing broad access to quality, affordable health care services," said Wendy Arnone, president and CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Wisconsin. "We appreciate the collaborative effort that went into reaching this agreement. Our new relationship with the clinic and the hospitals gives our members expanded access and increased choice in the Green Bay area."
